Bachelor Chow

Posted on:

A lot of ideas are up in the ether, just waiting for somebody to pull em down. Bachelor Chow is one of those ideas; something you can’t really say you invented or thought up first, all you can do is be the first to put it out there. The good people at Futurama put it out there. I don’t often cook, in fact I only really know how to make about a dozen things. That’s ok though since the foods I do make are top notch. At the apex of my culinary treasures are my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, they’re delicious, they’re soft, they’re chewy. In short, they are the best cookies in the world. I hate the Make-a-Wish foundation. Granted, they make kids happy. I’m not saying they don’t. They also waste money and are naive, classist, jingoists at best and downright evil racists at worst.
If you have a child with a terrible disease (it doesn’t actually have to be terminal) I’m sure you’re very grateful that the Make-a-Wish foundation exists. This is because you’re selfish. Don’t get me wrong; we’re all selfish. I care more about my family than I do about yours and I care more about what happens to Portland than I do New Orleans. That’s how we are.… Read the rest
